Impregilo S.p.A – Visit to St Helena November- December 2008
We have been advised by Impregilo that Dr. Angelo Cianci will visit St Helena from 12 November – 15 December 2008. Impregilo are fully aware that the final decision on the airport project has not yet been taken and are carrying out the visit at their own risk.
Dr. Cianci has advised that his main areas of interest for the visit are:
- Assess capacity of local workforce
Trades available on island
Hourly/weekly and monthly rates
Social security, charges etc.
- Catering Services
Availability
Menus
Prices
- Temporary Accommodation
- Assess interest/capacity from subcontractors for initial works
Provisional wharf
Provisional camp installations (Canteen, Fencing, First Aid Post)
Provisional works of Haul road from Ruperts to Prosperous Bay Plain
Temporary fuel posts
- Various general services
Postal
Communications, etc.
- Customs, Goods Transportation and logistics in General
- Various permits
- Public relations
The Access Office will assist and support Dr Cianci where possible and wish him a successful visit.
